My Time to Craft #314 Love is All Around

Image
Is anyone else now singing 'Love is All Around Me' by The Troggs? (Or the cover version by Wet, Wet, Wet.) I love this song, it brings back memories of youth!! Anyway, I'm here with a late arrival for the Challenge at My Time to Craft - I apologise for the delay! Our theme, if you hadn't guessed already is LOVE including weddings and anniversaries as well as Valentine's. I originally wanted to make a shaker card with this Heart die from Simon Says Stamp but I just couldn't get it right! So istead I inlaid the heart into the card base, with a piece of computer paper behind it to hold the glue. The sequins are from Neat and Tangled, and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted All Occasions Sentiments. Go and see the pretty creations that my teamies have made, they're an inspiration! Thanks for looking! love Mags B x

Good morning! It's time for another CRAFT Challenge (where is this week going??) Our theme is Love/Valentine/Anniversary since Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away! Our sponsors are: Sweet Stamps and Sami Stamps I used Kendra Glam Girl by Sweet Stamps, she looks so happy! I imagine she's going to meet her Significant Other! I coloured her in Copics and added spots to her dress with a white gel pen and a Copic marker. The papers are from stash. The flowers were made with a Woodware daisy punch and a Retro flower punch by EK Success, and they have been edged with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and then glittered and with pearls in the centres. The leafy swirls are made with a Cheery Lynn Small Fanciful Flourish die. The sentiment is cut from the same pack as the other papers (it was a magazine freebie but has lost its front page so I don't know who made it!) Dream Valley DT Challenge 123 New

Image
Apologies for the late arrival of my post for the New challenge at Dream Valley . If you've seen my card on the Challenge page you'll have noticed I made a glaring mistake..... More on that later! Our sponsor is the amazing Pink Gem Designs (and they have a SALE until the end of January!) I used the utterly adorable Bathtime Baby Now, if you check that link you'll see that the baby's hair is tied with a cute bow. However, for some reason I missed this obvious clue that this is a baby GIRL and went wth blue papers. Late last night my hubby pointed out my mistake. Oh I do feel like such a prat! So today I reprinted the image and cut out some of the bubbles to stick over the bow. The papers and ribbon and butterfly are from stash, and the hearts are die-cut with a Lawn Fawn hearts die set. Go over to the Challenge blog and have a look at my teamies' 'New' creations, and have a giggle at my silly mistake! D'OH!!!!! Thanks for look

Hi, guys! I hope you're having a good Saturday and staying warm (in the Northern Hemisphere) or cool (in the Southern Hemisphere.) We have another great Challenge at My Time to Craft! which is Tag It! Either make a card that incorporates a tag, or make a tag on its own. I went with a shabby chic look: The base is cut with a Sizzix die. The paper is by Prima from an old paper pad called 'Fairy Belle'. I went round the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and the crochet lace is from stash. Go across to the Challenge blog and see what my teamies have made, they will definitely inspire you! Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend! love, Mags B x

CRAFT Challenge DT Challenge #346 NOT a Card!

Image
Hi, guys! It's Thursday, so that means another CRAFT Challenge and this time our theme is NOT a Card! Instead we want to see tags, or scrapbook pages, or boxes, or books, or ..... We have two awesome sponsors: Robyn's Fetish and The Stamping Boutique I altered a cheap notebook: I removed the front and back covers and covered them with paper from my stash, then used a Crop-a-dile to punch holes so that I could thread the covers back on. Here is the inside: The image on the front is Guitar by The Stamping Boutique - isn't it gorgeous? I love the 'hippie' vibe! I coloured it with Promarkers and added clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and Glossy Accents on the hearts. Then I added a K&Co 'Citronella' £D paper flower sticker. Covering the booklet was a bit fiddly - especially putting the covers back, it's important that they face in the right direction! -but I'm rather pleased with it! Now take a look at what my inventive tea

We have a Recipe to follow this week at CRAFT Challenge . Use 1 Ribbon, 2 Embellishments, £ Papers and 1 Image. Our sponsors are: Rick St Dennis MFA Di's Digistamps (She is having a sale from 11th January!) I used the adorable 1920s Candy from Di's Digistamps (scroll down the page to find her.) Isn't she glamorous?! I coloured her with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the pearls, Wink of Stella Clear to the feather, and Cotton Candy Stickles to the roses in her hair. The papers were from the Snippets Box, the sparkly organza ribbon is from Hobbycraft, and the flowers are from the K & Co Citronella collection but sadly seem to be discontinued.
